The FIG Yearbook 2023 is now available online

The FIG Yearbook presents the activities and achievements of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) in 2023. It covers areas such as sport, institutional affairs, media, and marketing, with a foreword by FIG President Morinari Watanabe, emphasising the unifying power of gymnastics. To view it CLICK HERE.

President Watanabe reflects on an eventful year marked by major events like the World Gymnaestrada and various World Championships. He underscores the importance of solidarity, citing the response to natural disasters as a testament to the gymnastics community’s unity and generosity. He summarises the year with the word “friendship,” highlighting sport’s role in making the world a better place.

The Yearbook also discusses progress in media, such as the launch of allgymnastics.tv, providing comprehensive coverage of gymnastics events. The Institutional section reports on progress in transparency and integrity, including the Safe Sport Journey Symposium and developments in the FIG’s eLearning platform and rebranding efforts.

Additionally, the Yearbook covers development initiatives like the Brick Parkour Asian Tour and concludes with an Outlook section on the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where 318 gymnasts will compete. It also includes reflections from Technical Committee presidents on enhancing the sport through technology and more age-group competitions.
