The project, coordinated by USSI FVG, aims to identify the subjects (Sports Journalists Associations of the participating countries, universities, schools) for the preparation of the texts of a quadrilingual dictionary (Italian, German, Slovenian and English) of the terms with the relative definitions used in sports starting with the winter ones.
The growing use of the English language in sport does not cover all terms and sports and erodes the knowledge and proper use of the terms in one’s own languages. The volume will be published both on paper and in pdf format.
Goals:
The dictionary aims to facilitate, in an area that has frequent meeting opportunities, both the knowledge of the correct terms in their own languages and an opportunity for students to concretely apply language study.
