FIS is pleased to announce that a newly designed official FIS mobile app is available as an update to the current app in Apple`s Appstore and Google`s Playstore as of now.
For nearly the last decade the FIS App has been the go-to destination for fans of winter sports to follow their favourite events and athletes.
Now, FIS is taking its app to the next level with its first version of a fan-centric experience, providing a seamless user experience across all FIS disciplines – including Cross Country, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined, Alpine, Freestyle, Freeski and Snowboarding, Para Snowsport – in addition to providing services from the non-Olympic disciplines as well.
Live timing and results will remain at the heart of the new app to ensure that fans are always informed and on top of their favourite events.
The new home feed will provide clear options to navigate between the different disciplines and customize their FIS App experience. The explore tab will provide an overview of upcoming and completed events, standings and all athletes.
Fans can subscribe to push notifications for their favourite disciplines and athletes and customize those at the level that best suits their interests.
For the first time FIS TV is providing new video material and will be integrated even deeper in an subsequent update.
FIS is planning further updates during the current season to add further features, focusing on video, the integration of news, personalization, and the enrichment of athlete profiles.
After users download the new version of the FIS app, they will be asked to follow a tutorial that walks them through how to get the most out of the new version and how to customize their experience.
As FIS will continually develop the app as the fan companion for FIS events and winter sports experiences, and user feedback is important in this journey. All suggestions and questions can be submitted via the feedback button in the “More” tab.
The relaunched mobile app is part of FIS’ digital transformation strategy that has seen the previous launch of FIS TV, the FIS Gaming Zone, a social media content strategy and will see an upcoming launch of the FIS website as well as various new digital and innovation initiatives in order to better engage and serve the winter sports community.
Be ready for the next events and download the app now!
