We are enthusiastic about sport and its values!
We intend to promote mutual knowledge of the sports world of the area that saw the birth of the Alpe Adria initiative.
It seems incredible but, despite the fall of the borders we discover that we have insufficient knowledge of what is happening with our neighbors.
This platform intends to collect and make available the much information on the sports world – history, sports, personalities, organizations, – that already exist, ordering them for easier research and making them understandable thanks to automatic translation into the languages of the participants.
Here, where the three great European cultures meet – the Latin, the Saxon and the Slavic – sport has deep roots and tradition with great athletes and sports clubs.
This area has with “Tarvisio Senza Confini” and “Klagenfurt Beyond Borders” – two of the 60 cities in the world that have been official candidates for the Winter Olympic Games and the only ones in Olympic history to have proposed them in collaboration between three states: Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
The platform also intends to offer those interested in sport, through newsletters, news and information on events in the area with ample space for amateur sport and sport for all activities.
These are very ambitious goals and their achievement will depend, as always with results in the sports world, on the participation in the project of those who share them.
